Joseph originally grew up in upstate New York with three twin brothers(a twin himself and 13 year old twin brothers) on a 1000 ewe sheep farm. He spent his summers showing pure bred Suffolk sheep at the county and state fairs, while helping taking care of the family farm. Caring for livestock and understanding the management of the flock inspired Joseph to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He attended Cornell University for his undergraduate degree and graduated with a diploma in Animal Science. To receive a tuition break, he decided to remain at Cornell University for veterinary school and focused his teachings on large animal production, specializing in swine medicine. He spent the summer of 2014 with Pipestone Veterinary Services working as a swine veterinary intern and spent the fall of 2015 working with Pipestone a second term. He graduated from veterinary school in the end of May this year and spent a few weeks with his family before starting work in the end of June. He is excited to be a part of the Pipestone Veterinary team and is enjoying living in the Midwest. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, reading, and when he has the opportunity, making stained glass.
