Local Giving Programs

PIPESTONE is proud to support local businesses and organizations. Through donations and volunteer hours, we are able to give back and support fellow employees and community members alike. Here are some of the programs we give back through.

Our team members are committed to doing good and take the opportunities to help in our communities. In 2021, we kicked off our “GiVE” program that encourages team members to seek out opportunities and give back to those in their local communities. Specific projects can be found below.

PIPESTONE has been a long-time supporter of the Children’s Home Society in Sioux Falls, SD. Children’s Home Society serves as South Dakota’s primary orphanage and adoption agency for more than 70 years. Over the years, they have grown to expand continuum programs to meet the needs of children and families. Throughout their many programs, they serve families, individuals and children of all ages. Many are victims of domestic violence, abuse and neglect, or traumatic life events.

During 2021, PIPESTONE participated in many of the activities/programs that CHS puts on throughout the year. One event was the “Caring for Kids Classic.” The golf event was followed by the “Caring for Kids” TV special that aired statewide in South Dakota the following day. During the TV special, PIPESTONE, alongside Spronk Brothers, offered potential donors a challenge. They would match every donation up to $50,000, not just once, but twice! During the evening, they not only matched the challenge, but surpassed it!

Animal Shelters play a key role in providing direct care and services to numerous animals. Our Family Animal Care locations show their support yearly by donating supplies and a monetary donation to the shelters near their locations. In 2021, we supported the following locations:

• Heartland Humane Society of Ottumwa in Ottumwa, Iowa
• Cedar Bend Humane Society in Independence, Iowa
• Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue in Orange City, Iowa
