Marco was born in Villa del Carbón, Mexico state. Taking care of his dad’s pigs as a kid inspired him to aim for vet school. He became a veterinarian in 2013 from Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas and started working with swine medicine and production. Marco got really interested in research to help producers which motivated him to complete a Master’s degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM) in 2018. In his graduate program, Marco focused on swine diagnostics. Before joining PIPESTONE as a veterinarian in North-Central Mexico, Marco was responsible for 100,000 wean-to-finish spaces in Jalisco as a Production Supervisor.
